Halibut In Creamy Garlic Sauce

Ingredients

For the Halibut:

  • 2 halibut fillets, patted dry
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • paprika

For the Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup half & half, light cream, or milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Season both sides of halibut with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside.
  • In a medium oven-proof skillet, heat butter over medium heat until melted.
  • Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Pour in white wine, broth, and cream. Let it reduce for 1–2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Nestle halibut into the sauce. Bake, uncovered, in preheated 400 degree F oven for 15 minutes or until fish is cooked through.
  • Remove from oven and garnish with parsley. Serve over rice.
