Instructions
Place ice in a whiskey glass
Add gingerbread syrup, bourbon cream, and splash of half/half
Garnish with cinnamon stick
Gingerbread Syrup
To make gingerbread syrup:
In a heavy bottom sauce pan, add 1 cup water, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 tbsp fresh ground ginger, 2 cinnamon sticks, 5 whole cloves, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/3 cup molasses (not blackstrap), and 1/2 tsp allspice. Bring mixture to a boil and simmer until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely. Strain syrup into a glass jar and store in the refrigerator.
