Gingerbread Sipper Cocktail

Creamy gingerbread sipper cocktail made with bourbon cream and gingerbread syrup—an easy, cozy holiday drink to sip all winter long.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp gingerbread syrup (see recipe below)
  • 2 oz bourbon cream (such as Buffalo Trace)
  • splash of milk or half & half
  • cinnamon stick, freshly grated nutmeg, and/or mini gingerbread cookie for garnish

Instructions

  • Place ice in a whiskey glass
  • Add gingerbread syrup, bourbon cream, and splash of half/half
  • Garnish with cinnamon stick

Gingerbread Syrup

  • To make gingerbread syrup:
  • In a heavy bottom sauce pan, add 1 cup water, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 tbsp fresh ground ginger, 2 cinnamon sticks, 5 whole cloves, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/3 cup molasses (not blackstrap), and 1/2 tsp allspice. Bring mixture to a boil and simmer until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely. Strain syrup into a glass jar and store in the refrigerator.
