Bacon, Apple & Cheddar Panini

Crispy bacon, sharp cheddar, and sweet apples come together in this melty bacon apple cheddar panini—easy, cozy, and full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices hearty bread (sourdough or ciabatta works great)
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4-6 slices cooked bacon
  • 1 crisp apple, thinly sliced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1-2 tbsp butter, softened
  • Optional: honey mustard or Dijon for extra zing

Instructions

  • Set your Panini Press on medium, or heat a skillet on the stove.
  • Spread butter on one side of each slice. If using honey mustard or Dijon, spread it on the inside.
  • On the unbuttered side, add cheddar, bacon, and apple slices. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side out.
  • Place the sandwich in a panini press until golden and the cheese is melted (about 3–4 minutes). No press? Use a skillet and press with another heavy pan.
  • Slice in half and watch that gooey cheese pull!
